gr8trails locations for your short break
The Lake District
The Lake District is well known for its dramatic scenery, lakes and extensive walks.
These can range from more sedate low level walks, which look up into the hills to the more challenging routes which look down into the valleys, we adore both and find it hard to choose!

The Peak District
The Peak District, we feel, probably offers the greatest variety of activities which can appeal to a mixed level group with a cross section of abilities.
From the easy walks and bike rides around the reservoirs of the Dark Peak, to the higher level walks on Kinder Scout and Mam Tor (‘the Quivering Mountain’) or the first class climbing on Stanage Edge, the Dark Peak is an outdoor lover’s paradise for short breaks and weekend activities.

North Wales
The hills and mountains of North Wales and the Snowdonia National Park continue to surprise us every time we visit for a short break or weekend.
gr8trails offer a broad variety of outdoor activities for all abilities. From purpose built mountain bike trails at Llandegla, Betws-y-coed and the original Coed-y-Brenin, to walking the flanks and summits of the Snowdonia range. North Wales truly offers an adventure for everyone.
Scotland
Scotland, land of the brave! This beautiful, stunning, country, in whatever season you choose to visit for your holiday is an outdoor lover’s paradise.
The gr8trails team believes this is a playground for the uninitiated or the expert. It doesn’t take long to get off the beaten track and experience some truly inspiring scenery. From the surrounding walls of the seldom visited 'Lost Valley', to the long ridge of Aonach Eagach, the inspiring buttress of Buachaille Etive Mor, the myriad of pools strewn across Rannoch Mor, to the imposing north face of Britain’s highest mountain Ben Nevis seen from the Carn Mor Dearg (CMD) Arête.
