About your qualified and experienced guides, where we have been, what we have achieved.

The Great Outdoors has a meaning for everyone. Some like the challenge, some like the experiences shared, some like the unplanned surprise of lofty views or mist clad valleys, some like the sense of achievement gained, some enjoy something new, or discovering a whole new world is out there for them to experience and discover..
I’ve been lucky enough to have spent most of my life doing all these things, whether with friends, family, small or large groups. I have found that the Great Outdoors has rewards for everyone, whether they are young or old, experienced or inexperienced.
In my mid 30s and having achieved and seen so much, I want to provide the same opportunities given to me, to everyone who would like to achieve more, see more, do more and meet more.
My experience includes training as a ski instructor in the Australian Snowy Mountains, working as an Australian Outdoor Education instructor for ‘Southbound Adventures’, training as a Peak Park Ranger and DofE Expedition Assessor, qualified Scout Leader and Explorer Scout Leader
Recent exciting experiences include: 24 hour Mountain Mayhem biking, 8 of the 10 Great Walks of New Zealand, the 3 Peaks of Yorkshire and the UK National 3 Peaks, ‘Munro bagging’ and ultimately summiting Mont Blanc in 2008.
As a fully qualified MLTE (Mountain Leader Training England) Summer Mountain Leader and REC (Rescue Emergency Care) first aider, I would love to help you in achieving your own goals in the Great Outdoors.

With a great passion for the outdoors I've been walking or riding round the hills of England, Wales and Scotland for more years than not! Always up for a challenge, a new experience, meeting new people and sharing new experiences with people with the same interests, I'm not happy unless I’m outdoors!
Recent experiences include 7 day endurance mountain bike races in the Australian Snowy Mountains, the Canadian Rockies and the Welsh Mountains. The annual 24 hour Mountain Mayhem marathon event and walking the Yorkshire 3 peaks for charity. A qualified CTC Mountain Bike Trail Leader and with gr8 experience around the Lake District, Peak District, Scotland and North Wales you’ll be in safe hands with gr8trails.
As well as walking and mountain biking I'm an experienced snowboarder with 20 years under the belt! I was there right at the beginning of the sport in the UK, competing at dry slope competitions across Great Britain.
Now in my mid 30s I take it a bit easier, enjoying the socialising on the slopes with friends and taking photographs.
Mountain biking and walking are a natural side step to achieve the same feeling as you do in the snow capped Alps, getting fresh air, fun and adventure.
I'm also a keen photographer, usually seen searching for 'that photo', the one which captures the emotion of the day and the memories of a lifetime.
